Come along to write a letter to a politician, calling for an end to funding for the Middle
Arm gas hub!
More details about the Middle Arm gas hub campaign can be found here, with a full campaign brief found here. The focus of the Week of Action is to see Labor revoking and reinvesting the $1.9 billion in funds to the Middle Arm hub, which will help open the Beetaloo basin to dangerous gas fracking that will risk our climate, communities, Aboriginal cultural heritage and precious water.
We’ll be writing letters and sharing pizza and snacks in the Hancock Library. Once we’ve finished, we will head over to the ANU sign outside Wamburun Hall to film a video as part of AYCC’s campaign.
No pressure to join in, but it would be great to have as many people in the video as possible! More info about the video can be found here: Video - Middle Arm Week of Action.
Pizza and snacks will be provided, with vegetarian and vegan options included. All materials to write the letters, including paper, pens and template letters etc, will also be provided.
