Board Director (Lawyer)

We're looking for an individual with particular expertise and experience to join AYCC's Board of Directors. As a Board Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic and expert advice, ensure organisational oversight and good governance, amongst other things. You will also have a strong understanding of climate change, and a commitment to the role of young people in tackling it.

Staff Positions

Senior Campaigner

Full time permanent position | Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane | $58,000-$69,000 dependent on experience, plus 11% superannuation.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, young people of colour, people with disability & LGBTIQ+ young people are strongly encouraged to apply.

We’re looking for a young person who is passionate about climate justice to join our team and build the power and impact of the youth climate movement as AYCC’s Senior Campaigner. In this role, you will create and execute strategies for impact across AYCC’s national campaigns, rapid response campaigns, and traditional media engagement. You’ll keep a pulse on the political landscape, build relationships with allies in the movement, project manage major campaign moments, events and tactics, and develop resources and trainings that empower our volunteers to lead winning campaigns.

Regular Donors Call-Outs Team Member

Casual (8-20 hours per week) with the possibility of part-time employment after 4-6 months / Melbourne-based / $30.11 per hour (including casual loading)

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, young people of colour, people with disability & LGBTIQ+ young people are strongly encouraged to apply.

To build stable and sustainable funding, the AYCC is on the lookout for passionate and dedicated fundraisers!

Our callers build strong relationships with our supporters in order to bring them onboard our Champions of Change program, where they can contribute to funding AYCC's amazing campaigns and trainings through flexible and manageable regular donations. 

This includes mostly early afternoon - evening work, and would be perfectly suited to dedicated and passionate young people looking to get a head start in fundraising for climate justice.

We are looking for people who are confident and engaging communicators, with attention to detail and who understand the importance of securing donations for a non-for-profit; and with a passion for and literacy in climate justice. In addition to the above, applicants should be self directed and able to take initiative to improve, as well as being willing and comfortable to actively problem solve.

Previous fundraising experience and/or experience volunteering within NFPs would be highly regarded but is not essential.

Switched on Schools Mentor - Australia Wide

By joining AYCC's Schools Team, you’ll be taking part in a nation-wide movement of young people working to create a more innovative, just and sustainable Australia! Schools mentors play an important role in providing students with the skills, knowledge and networks necessary to create change, empowering them to become the lifelong climate leaders Australia urgently needs. Western Sydney State Leader(s)

We’re looking for 3-4 outstanding individuals aged 18-30 to join the team and lead the AYCC Western Sydney branches for 2020. This is an incredible opportunity to build AYCC Western Sydney to powerfully implement strategic grassroots campaigns at a crucial time for the climate and our communities. The Western Sydney State Leaders (4) will build on existing leadership, communication and strong interpersonal skills to make a significant and lasting contribution to communities on the frontlines of climate change across Western Sydney. This is your chance to be part of a dynamic and exciting leadership team that is building a generation-wide movement to solve the climate crisis in some of the most culturally, linguistically, and religiously diverse and climate-affected communities in Australia.
