Regular Donors Call-Outs Team Member

Casual (8-20 hours per week) with the possibility of part-time employment after 4-6 months / Melbourne-based / $30.11 per hour (including casual loading)

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, young people of colour, people with disability & LGBTIQ+ young people are strongly encouraged to apply.

To build stable and sustainable funding, the AYCC is on the lookout for passionate and dedicated fundraisers!

Our callers build strong relationships with our supporters in order to bring them onboard our Champions of Change program, where they can contribute to funding AYCC's amazing campaigns and trainings through flexible and manageable regular donations.

This includes mostly early afternoon - evening work, and would be perfectly suited to dedicated and passionate young people looking to get a head start in fundraising for climate justice.

We are looking for people who are confident and engaging communicators, with attention to detail and who understand the importance of securing donations for a non-for-profit; and with a passion for and literacy in climate justice. In addition to the above, applicants should be self directed and able to take initiative to improve, as well as being willing and comfortable to actively problem solve.

Previous fundraising experience and/or experience volunteering within NFPs would be highly regarded but is not essential.

Step Up for Climate Justice Recruitment Caller

Step Up for Climate Justice will be AYCC’s major national peer-to-peer fundraising campaign in 2022, asking our supporters to step up and challenge themselves to raise vital funds and support youth-led campaigns for climate justice. This fundraiser will see hundreds of community members set a goal to walk, run, roll or ride this November and raise funds for AYCC's campaigns along the way.

We’re looking for 3-4 passionate young people to join our team as casual recruitment callers from October 3rd - November 11th. In this role, you'll be having conversations with AYCC supporters and volunteers to inspire them to sign up for the fundraiser challenge. You'll get to connect with likeminded young people and older allies over the phone and motivate them to be part of the climate justice movement.

This is a casual position, with an hourly rate of $31.95 plus 12% superannuation. See the full position description and details on how to apply here.

Volunteer Positions

AYCC Organiser

Volunteer leader | Location: NSW, VIC, TAS, SA, Regional Queensland (Cairns or Townsville), NT, WA     | 1 day per week for 12 months

We’re looking for young people aged 17-30 across so-called Australia to join our volunteer team of Organisers. If you’re passionate about climate justice, supporting teams, organising events, rolling out campaigns and building the power of young people then this is the role for you! This is an incredible opportunity to use your existing (or to develop!) leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to make a significant and impactful contribution to the climate movement.

As an AYCC Organiser you’d be responsible for inspiring, organising and mobilising young people on climate justice campaigns in your area of responsibility (e.g. Tasmania). In collaboration with your staff mentor, you’ll invest in the leadership of volunteers and support them to organise events, bring new people into our movement and implement campaigns to leave fossil fuels in the ground and build real climate solutions.

The AYCC is a youth-led organisation with an exemption from the Anti-Discrimination Act - we seek applications only from people under the age of 30. We value passion, initiative, talent and lived experiences, over formal qualifications. We don’t expect you to be an expert at everything and we’re committed to building your skills and supporting you to grow as a leader in our movement. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, young people of colour, people with disability & LGBTIQ+ young people are strongly encouraged to apply.

See full position description and details on how to apply here.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. If you have any questions about this volunteer position, please contact Maddie Sarre (Organising Director) at [email protected]

Volunteers are the heart of our movement. We have a broad range of opportunities available to young people who want to solve the climate crisis. If you would like to volunteer, click here to sign up to get involved:
