ACT Campaigns Coordinator

We're looking for a savvy, skilled & enthusiastic leader to join the ACT Leadership team as the Campaigns Coordinator. In order to reach our goals and our vision for a safe climate future, AYCC needs to be able to run effective campaigns that have a powerful impact on decision-makers. The role of a Campaigns Coordinator is to lead the ACT branch in organising, planning and implementing campaign events, actions & tactics that are strategic & impactful. ACT Outreach & Recruitment Coordinators x 2

We are looking for two outgoing and positive young leaders to lead our outreach & recruitment in Canberra. The Outreach team leads on organising & recruitment for events and contacting existing volunteers to ensure they are engaged and coming to events such as trainings, market stalls, social nights, meetings and campaign actions. ACT Volunteer Support Coordinator

We are looking for an empathetic, passionate, team player to join the ACT leadership team as Volunteer Support Coordinator. The coordinator will engage potential volunteers, provide them clear pathways into AYCC, and constantly draw in & support new young people towards taking meaningful climate action. You will lead a team of volunteers in calling, messaging, meeting and welcoming new recruits to grow the Canberran climate movement. You will plan introductory and social events, and mentor, train and support your team to induct, follow up, and build relationships with volunteers to connect their interests with their AYCC experience. ACT Communications Coordinator

We are looking for volunteers to lead our ACT Communications Team to help shift the narrative about climate change and fossil fuels in Australia. You will mentor and support a small team of volunteers in creating and publishing a broad range of content for social media, keeping across current climate news and online trends/memes. You will help develop strategies and plans for getting our campaign messages across, and help coordinate any media presence at our larger actions. See full position description here.

We need a passionate, dedicated, quick-learning young person under 30 to fill this role. There will be plenty of on-the-job learning opportunities. We strongly encourage young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, LGBTIQA, and people of colour to apply.

VIC State Leader(s)

We are looking for a passionate and skilled volunteer leader to coordinate and lead the Victorian branch of AYCC in 2019. The State Leaders (4) will coordinate the AYCC VIC branch including managing volunteers, coordinating projects and campaigns and will be tasked with building and growing the branch to #Stop Adani and get fracking banned in the NT in solidarity with our sister organisation Seed. This is an incredible opportunity to gain valuable organising, management and campaigning skills as well as making a meaningful impact on the most important campaigns in the climate movement. Lead the AYCC QLD Schools Program - positions are available in Brisbane and Townsville. This is an incredible opportunity to build the Switched on Schools program across Queensland. You'll empower hundreds of high school students to meaningfully take action on climate change through training, mentoring and managing a team to deliver in-school climate justice workshops, build our Student Climate Action network, and help plan climate summits for hundreds of students.
