COVID has hit our communities hard and our Government should be focusing on what we need to rebuild from COVID-19, like sustainable and future-proof jobs or clean energy. 

But Scott Morrison could bow to the pressure of fossil fuel executives, desperate to bail out the dying gas industry by using taxpayer dollars. 

If they succeed, our communities and climate will pay for decades to come.

• It was reported yesterday that the NCCC wants to cut environmental regulations and push through tax-incentives for the construction of gas infrastructure, like pipelines. Expanding the gas industry will accelerate climate change, not create the sustainable solutions our communities need.
• I want to see Scott Morrison prioritising communities during the COVID recovery, not give his gas industry mates a tax-payer funded handout.
