Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have been caring for the lands, waters and skies across this continent sustainably for tens of thousands of years. We know there can be no climate justice without justice for First Nations people. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices should be at the forefront of political decision-making on issues that affect their country and communities.
The Referendum on a First Nations Voice to Parliament is just around the corner. Millions of people writing Yes in this Referendum can create the momentum that’s needed for longer-term political change, towards a better future for First Nations people and a more equitable society for everyone.
At this critical moment, there's a role for all of us to build and show community support for First Nations justice and representation. This can look like talking with our family, friends and neighbours, calling out racism wherever we find it, and educating ourselves more deeply.
We've compiled a list of workshops and events - hosted by a range of community groups and First Nations led organisations - where you can learn more and take action...
