Welcome to the POC Climate Network's July monthly meeting! We're gathering virtually from all across this vast continent to explore our community, and what it means to be apart of it.
This is part of the POCCN 'learn-in' series of unpacking ours and our family's experiences of colonisation and how climate change and migration has shaped our lives and where we come to be now.
This is a special week - we have special guest facilitator Phoebe McIllwraith! Phoebe is a proud Bundjalung and Worimi Saltwater woman, a Koori with family histories tied to Casino and Soldiers Point. She has a long history of fighting for climate justice with Seed Mob - Australia's first Indigenous youth climate network. She is an Aboriginal writer and creative, with a background in law and business, and is currently working as the Audio Producer and Reseacher at the Guardian.
You can follow Phoebe’s work here: https://www.instagram.com/northbutsouthhh/
Looking forward to seeing you there <3
We'll be meeting on Friday 28th of July, 2023 at 6:30pm (NSW, ACT, Tas, QLD, Vic), 6pm (NT, SA), and 4:30pm (WA).
Please let Grace know on 0416942034 if you'd like to join the POC Climate Network Whatsapp chat :)
