From extreme heat and bushfires to flooding, young people are growing up with the impacts of climate change, here and now. We know that pollution from burning fossil fuels like gas are causing more extreme weather, yet big corporations are lining up to open up risky new gas wells, pipelines and power plants across the continent - putting their corporate profits ahead of a clean and safe future for all of us.

Our communities deserve better. All of us want clean air and water, a healthy environment, and a safe future to grow up in. When young people come together we are powerful, and we can make our politicians listen up.

The NSW/ACT Training Weekend Info Night will cover information about the training weekend, the vibes, the moment we're in right now in the fight for climate justice, scholarships and how to register for the training weekend on September 23-24 in Sydney!

• You’ll learn about climate justice and how you can resist the expansion of the fossil fuel industry and fight for a better future 
• We’ll run workshops on campaigning and community organising so you can build your skills and feel confident to get more involved 
• We know that we’re more powerful when we work together, so we’ll have plenty of time to get to know each other and build long-lasting friendships with people who care as much as you do, making us stronger in the fight for a safe climate future
• Run by young people for young people, it’s a weekend of training, skill-sharing and networking that’s open to anyone under 30.

Whether you’ve been with AYCC for years or are new to taking action on climate change, in high school or working full-time, every young person is invited, and we’re all needed <3
