AYCC will be holding a training and planning event for volunteers and members in preparation for the upcoming election.
At this event you can meet like-minded people interested in supporting climate action, and you will be trained to have effective conversations about the climate crisis and encourage the public to vote with climate change in mind. We will also be planning and strategising election tactics we can use such as bird-dogging, having more climate conversations and speaking directly to politicians to hold them accountable. It is more important now than ever to be actively supporting an end to climate injustice through politics, and this election will be crucial for deciding future climate legislation that could potentially have catastrophic consequences on Australia and the world. You will become equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to make a change in the world and in the election to prevent the climate crisis becoming permanent.
