Here's a cool fact: the most important factor in deciding someone’s vote isn’t the misinformation they see online or the scaremongering leaflets they receive in the mail - it’s the conversations they have with those around them.
With the election only 6 weeks away, it means our best shot at making sure our next Government is full of leaders with real plans for climate action is by talking to as many people as we can about voting for the people who we can trust to take action.
Just 13,000 votes could decide who wins the election. By chatting to our friends, our families, our neighbours and the people we work with, we can have a huge impact on the outcome of the next election and shape the course of climate justice for years to come.
We know talking to people about voting for climate can be intimidating, and it can be hard to know where to start. That's where deep canvassing comes in: a tried and tested way of talking to people that centres mutual understanding about the issues that matter to us.
We're running a workshop on Tuesday, 19th April to teach you all about deep canvassing and how to have impactful conversations that shift minds and votes this election. You'll have the chance to practice your deep canvassing skills in the workshop, and feel confident talking to people in your community about voting for leaders who will put all of us first (not their fossil fuel mates!).
