Australians are already feeling the dangerous impacts of climate change.
I’m concerned that the Government will exacerbate the climate crisis if it invests millions of public dollars into a “gas-led recovery”.
Gas is an outdated fossil fuel: investing in gas means Australia will get left behind while the rest of the world thrives with renewables.
Our public money should be spent creating secure jobs that tackle the climate crisis: like big renewable energy projects!
The climate crisis will definitely get worse if the Government proceeds with a gas-led recovery and it’s Australian communities who will pay the price - in climate impacts and wasted public money.
