Voting is an opportunity to have direct input into who will make the decisions that affect our communities and our future for years to come. It’s a chance to hold leaders to account, to elect people that represent us, and to set out our expectations for real climate action - no matter who wins.
But voting can also be confusing and hard to access. Our voting system is complex, polling places can be hard to reach in regional areas, and we don’t all receive the same education about our political system. And, when we don’t feel like the system is working for us, it can be hard to believe that voting will make a difference.
If you have questions, want to know how to share information about voting with your friends and family, or want to better understand why voting matters and how the system works - this is for you!
