Students from the Perth and Peel region are invited to a one-day, transformative School Summit on Wednesday 22 May from 9am - 3pm at Piney Lakes Environmental Education Centre. The summit looks to deepen student's engagement in sustainability and climate action. Students will hear stories from people on the frontlines of climate change and work with AYCC volunteers to develop skills and plan campaigns to make change, and lead climate action in their communities.

Switched on Schools is a youth leadership program that aims to inspire and empower secondary school students to come together to take action on climate change. Our vision for the program is to provide cutting-edge sustainability education to tens of thousands of high school students across Australia. The AYCC reaches out to high school students because we believe they are society's most powerful long-term agents of change, and a critical moral voice on the issue of climate change. Using a unique model of peer-to-peer education, Switched on Schools seeks to ignite students' interest in climate change and sustainability, offer a platform to network with like-minded individuals and develop their leadership skills.

Wherever we are in this country we respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land and their elders past and present. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have lived sustainably and in harmony with the land for tens of thousands of years and together we are striving for the future of the land, air and waters that make up this beautiful country. We also acknowledge the work of Seed Indigenous Youth Climate Network, and their leadership in the youth climate movement.
