Welcome to our newest POCCN Event - Tok Stori 📖

Tok Stori, is a Papua New Guinean Tok Pisin word that means to converse, tell stories or share experiences in a communal setting. Opposed to lectures and Ted Talks, Tok Stori, is a practice of strengthening our relationality with each other, to share stories, to listen and reflect as a collective. 

Tok Stori will be a monthly gathering to listen and connect with POC guest speakers from across this continent who will be sharing about:

• Their Story 🫶🏽
• How culture has shaped their work 🌺
• Imparting some practical wisdom for participants to learn and grow from 🫡

Each Tok Stori Gathering will wrap up with some group discussions, reflecting on:

• What we heard 👂🏽
• What we learnt 💡
• How it made us feel 💙
• What we are walking away with 🚶🏽‍♂️🚶🏼‍♀️

With this, we hope that all our participants can tok stori with each other so that you may be inspired, connected with fellow POC, and continually learning about how our cultures can be a compass to help us navigate the world today 🌏😁
