The Queensland election is right around the corner. THIS is our opportunity to make sure our government commits to a #CleanRecovery for all of us - so that post-election the powerful, youth-led movement we’ve built can hold our new government to account!
We’re putting pressure on Stuart Coward in Caloundra to let the LNP know that we aren't going to let them get away with investing public money in fossil fuels. We need to make sure that no matter which party wins the election they are committed to investing in publicly owned renewables and not funding new fossil fuel projects.
During an election period, politicians are feeling the heat from the public and is a strategic opportunity to get commitments for climate justice. We'll be making some noise at the pre-polling voting in caloundra on 24th of October, chatting to early voters, and possibly Coward to let him and his constituents know we want a #CleanRecovery for Queensland - come join us! We'll be meeting at 1 Bulcock St, Caloundra at 11 am.
This event is held on the stolen land of the Gubbi Gubbi and Jinibara, we pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded.
