Election day is Halloween and there is nothing more terrifying than the climate crisis. Join us at the Everton polling booth at Albany Hills State School to show politicians that young people are not backing down from our demands for a Clean Recovery.
We’re holding our leaders accountable to care for our communities by putting our future before fossil fuels. A Clean Recovery means investing in publicly owned renewables and not spending any taxpayer money on fossil fuel projects or infrastructure.
We know it's a bit of a drive from the city so if you need a lift please text Monique and she can help you organise car pooling!
We’re going to be out trick or treating voters and candidates, including the LNP deputy leader Tim Manders, as they cast their ballot. Will they get tricked and choose dirty gas investment or treat themselves with a safe climate future and renewables investment? Come dressed your most terrifying climate disaster - floods, fires, dead koalas and bleached coral - to remind voters what’s at stake this election. We’ll be outside the polling booth from 9am trying to catch our candidates voting.
No matter which party gets elected we’re going to hold them to account and demand investment in publicly owned renewable energy and a clean recovery from the covid pandemic.
