The Climate Budget: Community Rally for Climate Justice

Join young people from across the country, rallying to stop public money for climate-wrecking coal and gas!

With the Federal Budget right around the corner, we’re calling on Prime Minister Albanese and Treasurer Jim Chalmers to put their money where their mouth is on climate action. To show us they’re serious about climate action, the Albanese government needs to clean up Morrison’s mess and make it clear that no more handouts will be on the table for big polluters in the coal and gas industry.

Instead of lining the pockets of big polluters, public money should fund things that matter to all of us, like publicly-owned renewable energy, services like health and education, and support for those already hit hard by climate change.

On the final day of AYCC's Power Shift summit, we’ll be out on the streets making our demands heard, and we need everyone in the community there! We’ve invited Federal Treasurer Jim Chalmers to come along and hear the demands of young people for Labor’s first budget to fund climate solutions, not more coal and gas pollution.

Come along and:

  • Listen to our incredible speakers on the front line of fighting fossil fuels (more speaker info to come!)
  • Hear about the cheeky tactics and plans we’ve been cooking up at Power Shift
  • Tell Treasurer Jim Chalmers to cut ties with the coal and gas industry in Labor's October budget update

Bring your banners, your friends, your mums and your grandparents and lets show the Treasurer that the entire community wants a serious plan to transition beyond fossil fuels.

If you're under 30, you can join us for the whole weekend of training and action at Power Shift: get your tickets here!
