Open to current volunteers and new folks alike, the SA team is hosting an in-person workshop + watch party to be a part of AYCC's climate summit, Power Shift!

The aim of the workshop is to:

• Inspire, educate, train and empower hundreds of young people to take ongoing action with the youth climate justice movement
• Give young people a constructive avenue to direct their passions in a way that creates long lasting, positive change in the world
• Build power, skills and the size of our grassroots movement
• Provide young people with an inclusive space where they can upskill their communication and social skills amongst likeminded individuals
• Build a community of passionate young people who are equipped with the leadership skills needed to inspire others

So if you can't make it to Brisbane and you want something a bit more interactive than online Power Shift, this is for you :D

Come along to the Napier Building at the University of Adelaide's North Terrace Campus, bring youself, a mask, a laptop (if you'd like to participate in the online chats too) and a drink bottle, we'll get some lunch and snacks organised for each day. The workshop is funded as a pay-what-you-can system, so if you can chuck a few dollars our way on the day it all helps, but no stress if not. Once you register you'll get a promo code for a free ticket to online Power Shift, that you can use when getting tickets through Eventbrite here (or through the email you'll receive from us soon!).

Accessibility notes:

• masks are mandatory to keep everyone safe, N95's will be provided if you don't have a mask. Please don't attend in person if you are unwell.
• there will be minimal walking and regular breaks from sitting
• the Napier building is wheelchair accessible and there are no steep inclines to go up
• the Napier building hall is rather bright, but the lecture rooms have a dimmer option 

* one clarification: Power Shift is technically a 3 day event, but we'll only be running the workshop for the first 2 days :)

 This event will take place on unceded Kaurna land, and we pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. We recognise the cultural authority of Aborginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within the climate movement
