With an election coming up in October we have an opportunity to create a sustainable and prosperous Queensland that works for everyone. Young Queenslanders want a future where we don't have to choose between a job and our planet, and we're standing up to make that future possible. From the school strikes to our victory against GHD and our #RenewableRecovery campaign, we have so many wins under our belt but we're not done yet. 

Ahead of the election we're going to create a loud, powerful and diverse community campaign fighting for climate justice across Queensland. We have a unique opportunity now to address the health crisis and the climate crisis together by empowering thousands of young Queenslanders just like you to be changemakers in their communities. 

Over the coming weeks we're going to be running workshops to equip you with the skills and confidence you need to speak up, stand up and fight for a sustainable and prosperous Queensland. Whether you're completely new to campaigning or you're a veteran who wants to level up your skills, these workshops are an unbeatable opportunity to make a real, lasting difference in our world and meet amazing, likeminded young people while you're at it.

These workshops will be free of charge and run in accordance with all legal health directives relating to COVID-19, as well as the AYCC's COVID-19 policies.

The schedule for these workshops is:

• Workshop 1: 14th August, 3:30- 5:00 PM @ Headspace Cairns. Talkin' bout a Renewable Recovery!
• Workshop 2: 28th August, 3:30- 5:00 PM @Headspace Cairns. Winning a Renewable Recovery!

More workshops will be run based on interest and the needs of participants.
