We can all agree 2020 has been a challenging year for many reasons. But did you know the Australian government is pushing for a gas led financial recovery to covid19? Gas fracking projects are set to go ahead in Australia, despite years of protesting from traditional land owners. These large-scale projects are set to have catastrophic effects on climate change, as well as destroying fragile local ecosystems and will have an unprecedented impact on the health of local people.

Come along to our AYCC Newcastle Welcome night to talk about climate justice and what we’ve been up to as a relatively new grass roots group, but most importantly for a lowkey chat to get to know some new like-minded young people!

If you have any accessibility needs please shoot us a message and we’d love to help!! Excited to see you there!

**Newcastle (Muloobinba) is situated on the land of the Awabakal people. We acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded, and that this always was and always will be Aboriginal land.**
