Come along to watch Rising Tide’s first short film and hear from some of the young Canberrans who attended the 3000-person strong 2023 People’s Blockade of the world’s largest coal port in Newcastle.
Join Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC) Canberra and Rising Tide Canberra for a film night at ANU, on Level 6 of the Marie Reay Teaching Centre. Pizza included!
Watch The First Wave and get ready for the next. The People’s Blockade 2024 will be a mass mobilisation of game-changing peaceful action for a climate revolution. Newcastle coal port is the largest in the world and Australia’s largest contribution to the climate crisis.
This event will be held on Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country, and we pay our respects to First Nations people across Australia, whose struggle for justice remains integrally tied to land rights and environmental protection.
Please RSVP if you can attend so we can plan for catering.
