Volunteer Positions

NATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS TEAM MEMBERS (3-5 roles)

We are looking for volunteers to join our National Communications Team to help shift the narrative about climate change and fossil fuels in Australia. You will create a broad range of products for social media and the AYCC website, keeping across current climate news and online trends/memes.

This is a great opportunity for a young person who loves social media and writing to learn how to communicate climate change effectively and create viral dank memes. Check out the position description here and apply before the 31st of January. 

 

SA STATE COORDINATOR

We're looking for an outstanding individual to lead the AYCC SA branch and local action groups for 2017. This is a fantastic opportunity to build and support the AYCC SA branch, while developing valuable campaigning and volunteer management skills. You'll play a crucial role in delivering powerful climate justice campaigns in SA. The co-state coordinator will work under the guidance of the SA State Organiser. VICTORIAN CO-STATE COORDINATOR

We're looking for an outstanding individual to lead the AYCC Victoria branch and local action groups for 2017. This is a fantastic opportunity to build and support the AYCC Victoria branch, while developing valuable campaigning and volunteer management skills. You'll play a crucial role in delivering powerful climate justice campaigns in Victoria. The co-state coordinator will work under the guidance of the Victorian State Organiser, and work closely with the current state coordinator James Ha. SEED STATE AND REGIONAL COORDINATORS

We are currently looking to build on our team of passionate and committed volunteers to lead the Seed network. Applications for state and regional-based Seed Coordinators are open from Monday 1st August and close midnight on Sunday 21st August and will be assessed on a rolling basis. This role is open to young people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Read more about the role here. 

 

NATIONAL CAMPAIGN AND COMMUNICATIONS VOLUNTEERS

The Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC) is looking for passionate and dedicated people to join our national campaigns support team in Melbourne! The ideal candidate will be someone who is interested in learning more about election campaigns, who is dedicated and passionate about climate change and willing to just jump in and support the team with tasks that need to be done. See the full position description here.

SA GRASSROOTS COORDINATOR

We are looking for a bright young person to coordinate our grassroots network of Action Groups in SA. Action Groups roll out AYCC campaigns and support young people to take action in their community. This is a core leadership role, integral to building a movement of young people for climate justice. See the full position description here.

SA SCHOOLS COORDINATOR

We are looking for a State Schools Coordinator who will manage the Schools Team in South Australia to roll out the Switched on Schools program. With National and State assistance they will be expected to support the team and schools-­based groups, implement the schools program, help organise a Schools Summit and contribute to the strategic direction of AYCC SA. See the full position description here.
