Intro

Posted on Climate Justice for Western Sydney by Alex Hill · March 08, 2019 9:28 PM

Climate change is causing extreme heat that’s already hurting people here in Western Sydney and our families across the world.

To protect our future from climate change, we need to stop burning coal and switch to 100% clean energy - like wind and solar.

Together, we can put pressure on our political leaders for policies and laws that support clean energy, phase out dangerous coal, and look after people on the feeling the impacts of climate change.

Wherever we are in this country we respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land and their elders past and present. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have lived sustainably and in harmony with the land for tens of thousands of years and together we are striving for the future of the land, air and waters that make up this beautiful country. We also acknowledge the work of Seed Indigenous Youth Climate Network, and their leadership in the youth climate movement.
