Stop Adani Day of Action, Brisbane

The #StopAdani movement is uniting in a big day of action on Saturday, October 7. Join us!

Together, we’re building an unstoppable movement in our campaign to #StopAdani which our politicians are trying to ignore. Treasurer Scott Morrison thinks it’s funny to wave coal around in Parliament. Immigration Minister Peter Dutton cracks jokes about rising seas in the Pacific. Labor leader Bill Shorten says he “supports the Adani mine so long as it stacks up.” And here in Queensland, both sides of politics are bending over backwards to help Adani set up shop without Traditional Owner consent.

The Federal Government are currently preparing to hand over $1bn taxpayer loan to Adani to build their dangerous mines. In the lead up to the Queensland election, we're mobilising to send a clear message to the next Government that they can and must veto this loan and stop Adani for good. Without this loan, and without the support of Australia's big banks (which have all ruled it out), Adani will have no money for their dangerous coal mines.

If we want to move beyond coal, we’re going to have to spell out #StopAdani to our politicians.
