Spend our taxpayer dollars on real Reef solutions
The Turnbull government has further condemned our reef by wasting $444 million dollars on a foundation deeply aligned with the fossil fuel industry. Their board executives are from heavy polluters AGL, BHP, Shell and Peabody Energy. Their board director recently argued for an EXPANSION of coal and gas pollution.1
$444 million for a Great Barrier Reef Foundation that doesn’t want to act on climate change is a waste of taxpayer dollars.
Climate change is the greatest threat to our Reef, and stopping fossil fuel projects must be front and centre.
