NT Folk: COVID-19 Check in
It’s a difficult time - and it’s never been more important for us to band together, and work towards a better world.
Join young people from across the NT on an online video call to talk about what campaigning for climate justice in the midst of COVID-19 looks like, and how we can work together to support each other, our communities and fight for a better future!!
Join on our Zoom video call here: https://zoom.us/j/5557719206
- what COVID-19 means for our work at AYCC and how we can build community + take action online
- Remote tactics to put pressure on politicians, corporations, and decision makers for climate justice in the NT
- How we can stay connected online at this time
The government's response has seen increased border controls, discrimination and harassment against communities of colour, and separation of families solely on the basis of someone’s visa type. Many people have lost their income, and been deprived of vital healthcare as our underfunded and underprepared services are withdrawn.
We’re all in this together. That's why those of us who are able and less at risk need to do our part to help those members of our community who will be impacted worst by coronavirus. So let's join this call together and go through some of the things we can do to organise and campaign for a better world from home!
This event will be hosted by trainers on stolen Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung land. We'd like to pay our respects to Elders past and present. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
