Working with First Nations People training for November 29
We’ve got something which will make your event more impactful than ever. Read on for more info or register on this page
Firstly, thank you all so much for putting your hands up to run solidarity events next week. Many of your own communities have been impacted by the most recent spate of bushfires.
Awareness of how closely First Nations justice is tied to achieving climate justice is growing amazingly fast. But many of us are unsure how to build that into our work as activists. One core way, is meaningful engagement of First Nations folk in the work we do. Here at AYCC, as one of the orgs working with students in SS4C, we’ve learnt a lot (and still are!) on this, particularly in our work with Seed.
We’ll share what we’ve learnt by offering an online training to build understanding and confidence in more people to do this important work. This training is a first step and, as event organisers for November 29, we wanted to give you this opportunity. You’ll walk away with a clear idea of what you can do before November 29

No matter your experience level, we want to give every event organiser the opportunity to have this training, and would love it if you were there!
We’re so excited to get all the organisers on one conference call and share everyone’s experiences and work on a plan for how we can work with First Nations communities for the November 20 actions!
