Double Discussion (Rosny)

There's an election on and that's a chance to explore policies and understand the future that individual candidates stand for.

It’s an unusual election - a double dissolution, meaning the whole federal parliament is up for election. So we’re organising the opportunity for senate candidates to front up and explain their policies on climate and nature protection.

These forums will give you the chance to engage with the people who could be making the decisions that affect your future.

With its ‘cleanest air in the world’, Tasmania just recorded a milestone 400 parts per million carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
Despite the clean, green and clever rhetoric, our iconic swift parrot was just listed as critically endangered, in imminent threat of extinction.

It’s clear, things are broken.

National nature laws aren’t working - if they exempt logging, but logging is pushing the parrot towards extinction.
Climate action isn’t effective - if we’re expanding fossil fuel exports, logging forests and clearing land with massive emissions.

Ask a question. Make a statement. Get informed and value your vote.
