Scott Morrison, this dangerous coal mine cannot go ahead
The Queensland government has approved the groundwater plan for Adani's dangerous mega coal mine and is one of the last significant environmental hurdles before they can start construction. Adani wants to take billions of litres of water - a precious resource for Traditional Owners, farmers and the local community.
While things may look bleak, there are still many Federal approvals Adani need before starting construction - and the #StopAdani movement is fired up to hold our leaders accountable to stop the mine and protect our future.
Sign now to tell Scott Morrison this dangerous coal mine cannot go ahead.
By approving Adani’s groundwater management plan, the Queensland Government has completely ignored the concerns of expert scientists, Traditional Owners, and Queenslanders already living with the impacts of drought.
The impacts of climate damage are here and now. Overnight minimums of 35 degrees in NSW. 50-degree days in regional South Australia. Escalating bushfire risk across the country.
We need to climate action to stop these events getting worse. That means standing up to the coal lobby and stopping fossil fuels, starting with Adani.
The coal mine will release 3.6 billion tonnes of pollution and be the biggest coal mine in the southern hemisphere!
Join the movement and stand up to stop this mine in its tracks.
