In February, you helped bring together more than 80 dedicated young climate leaders from across the country, to build the skills and strong networks necessary to fight for climate justice. Climate Leaders training camps build the power of young people to create change in their communities and equip them with lifelong skills in leadership, campaigning, organising and so much more!
Ella Du Vé is one of our incredible volunteer State Leaders for Victoria, who found Climate Leaders an inspiring and formative experience.
“My experience at climate leaders in February was both nurturing and inspiring! I found my mind a-buzz with new learnings, in both the social justice-centered workshops and in my chats with other young people across the AYCC and Seed community. Climate Leaders helped me understand the organising skills I need to continue to locally grow the climate justice movement while creating a space for a young person like myself to connect with other like-minded young people who are passionate and dedicated to climate justice.”
Right now, we’re gearing up for another Climate Leaders retreat in July, as well as state-based bootcamps which will be happening from September till November.
We’d love to provide additional sponsorships to young people living in regional areas to come along, to help remove barriers to attending training camps, increase diversity in the youth climate movement and ensure young people living with the impacts of climate change and fossil fuel extraction get everything they need to take action!
Can you chip in a tax-deductible donation of $50 to help provide a scholarship for a young person in Darwin to attend a training summit?
