ACT Indulgence Party | For The Love Of The Reef
The Great Barrier Reef is colourful, playful and teaming with life. For over 60,000 years Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have continuously protected the reef. 70,000 jobs rely on it remaining healthy. The Reef is in a critical state, and global warming is getting further out of our control. We simply cannot afford to mine and burn any more fossil fuels.
This October, people from all over the country are going without something they love for two weeks, to raise money for a national campaign to stop new coal projects like Adani. We'll be giving up the essentials - coffee, chocolate and avocado (or anything else you love!).
On September 28, AYCC Canberra is throwing a party to indulge in all the goodies we'll be giving up. Come along to the Street Uni for good tunes, fun times and to binge on heaps of yummy stuff. This is an alcohol free event, but those over 18 are welcome to come out for a few drinks afterwards.
