Activism In Fashion: Tote Bags, T-shirts and Poster Painting!

Activism comes in all forms and sorts - from internet superstars spreading messages via tweet, to civilians who fight at the front lines of devastation. How can we consistently be involved in campaigning while life can be so busy? Can we still be loud and get a message across without saying a word?

The iconic 21st century activist "t-shirt and tote-bag" combination is hard to miss these days! With mainstream companies like Cotton On and LUSH Cosmetics selling ethical/politically charged merchandise, the trend has kicked off, empowering their young adult target audiences to start speaking up about issues that matter!

Western Sydney's Australian Youth Climate Coalition branch invites you to join us in May to channel your environmentalism and creativity into creating funky tote bags, t-shirts and posters!

This day will be a great opportunity to find out about the campaigns AYCC are working on across the country, and meet some members of your local group!

BYO old t-shirts and bags that you'd like to restyle, your lunch, something to sit on, and perhaps a friend or two!

We look forward to seeing you there!
