Armidale Action - Foods of Our Future

It's time to let our sitting member and Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources, the Hon. Barnaby Joyce MP, know that you can't care about agriculture in the New England region and not do something about climate change.

We all know that the New England region produces some of the most beautiful produce Australia can offer - prime lamb and beef, fruits and berries, wines and potatoes just to name a few. We're going to tell Barnaby Joyce how much the land means to us and that it cannot be left vulnerable to climate change! We'll gather outside his office in Beardy St mall, Armidale and present a spread of delicious and iconic New England foods that are going to be detrimentally affected by our changing climate. We'll then hand-deliver a special selection to his office in a New England Hamper, so that he can enjoy it and take home the message: for our food and our future, we have to do everything we can NOW to stop climate change in its tracks. Young people say NO to new coal mines on agricultural land, YES to urgent action on climate change and YES to putting our future first.

Show your support and come for the action at 10.30am at Barnaby Joyce's office in Beardy St Mall (next to the Courthouse Café), or let us know if you can help with setup.

We look forward to seeing you there!
