We are Jackie, Gina and Holly, convenors of the AYCC in Hobart and Launceston.
Our branch started after a group of us went to Power Shift 2011, and we now have a great group of dedicated volunteers and a larger network of supporters in both Hobart and Launceston.
As young people we are the ones who stand to be the most affected by climate change, but we think by becoming involved in groups like the AYCC young people are also in the best position to take action. Our volunteers are a diverse and passionate bunch of young people who are already doing incredible things on climate change.
We meet regularly in both Hobart and Launceston.
In Hobart fortnightly meetings are held every Sunday from 3:00pm - 4:30pm.
In Launceston, weekly meetings happen every Wednesday from 4:30pm - 6:00pm
Don't hesitate to get in touch if you want to get involved and make sure you check us out on Facebook.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Gina, Jackie and Holly, on behalf of the whole AYCC Tassie Team
