#StopAdani Beach Party at Point Piper
The 2018 Budget does nothing for climate change - its attacking renewables and instead backing old, dirty technology like coal and gas. All this, whilst at the same time our government is considering giving public money to Adani through EFIC (Export Finance & Insurance Corporation).
After countless actions on PM Turnbull's office steps, a giant human sign on Bondi Beach with over 2,500 people, community stalls and more - we're spicing things up!
With #StopAdani Bondi, we're throwing a #StopAdani beach party in Point Piper on Lady Martin’s Beach from 11am, Sunday the 27th of May. Fingers crossed Lucy and Malcolm are in!
People from across Wentworth and Sydney will gather with music, #stopadani tshirts, bright beachwear, umbrellas + signs, props & banners calling on PM Turnbull to hold to his promise to nemo in 2016 of "no public money for Adani'. There'll be some vessels joining on the water, will be a speaker and more.
Who: everyone's welcome - so invite your neighbour, friend, colleague or family!
When: 11am - a few hours later. The main event will be press photos at 11:30am, so please arrive by then.
Bring: swimmers, towels, hat, sunscreen, mates, a UE boom speaker (if you have one), and any #stopadani gear you have or want to make (think props, signs, banners, creative beach things)
