The AYCC believes that as a key stakeholder young people must present their own unique voice in the climate change debate.

AYCC has a Policy & Advocacy working group which researches and develops AYCC policy and then works with the communications team to communicate our views to government, business and the community.

The group participates in the development of state, national and international climate policy through the following avenues:
• Conducting research to inform member groups, AYCC staff and volunteers.
• Developing AYCC advocacy strategy.
• Making submissions to key forums and organisations.
• Presenting the youth perspective to a diverse range of stakeholders including government, business and community leaders.
