The Wangan and Jagalingou people are the Traditional Owners of the area that Adani want to destroy to build a mega coal mine in the Galilee Basin. This coal mine would be disastrous for our climate pushing us over 2 degrees of warming, and would destroy the land that the Wangan and Jagalingou people have cared for for thousands of years.
On Friday night the Palaszczuk government made moves to compulsorily acquire the lands of the Wangan & Jagalingou people, taking away their land rights to make way for Adani's dirty coal mine.

Please put in a call to the QLD government now and tell them to:
- Respect the rights of Indigenous communities to say no to projects on their land.
- Throw out the proposal from the Coordinator General to extinguish Wangan and Jaglingou’s native title rights for Adani’s benefit.
- Don't use public money (federal or state) to make this project go ahead
- Invest in a clean jobs plan for Queensland instead
This proposal would drag back Aboriginal rights in Queensland 30 years. Make the call today and tell us how it went!
