Dory's home needs protection, Mr Dutton
Peter Dutton is still blocking action on climate change. Blocking investment in renewable energy- part of the solution to global warming- is putting the Great Barrier Reef at further risk.
Dory's home, the Great Barrier Reef, is already experiencing the impacts of global warming and we want to protect it from further losses.
Join us for a morning of actions in Dutton's electorate, highlighting the impact of global warming on Dory's home and speaking to constituents about how they'll vote this election.
The plan is:
- We'll start by catching commuters on their way to work from Strathpine station from 8am. We'll be chatting to them about pledging to vote climate and handing out score cards.
- We'll then grab some breakfast and set up for a Dory action at Dutton's office. The action will hopefully attract media and will highlight the impact of dangerous global warming on Dory's home.
- We'll then back it up by chatting to businesses around Strathpine about voting to protect the Reef this election and putting up posters in their businesses.
It's a fun-filled, highly impactful morning!
Can you join us?
We will have lifts available from the city heading out to Strathpine in the morning.
Call Millie if you have any questions.
