The Australian Youth Climate Coalition

QLD Coordinator

QLD Coordinator

Kat has been involved with AYCC since 2013 when she, after walking through the gates of uni for the first time, was inundated with a sea of blue t-shirts. Her first experience with AYCC was a community surveying trip to the coast of Queensland where she saw first hand the injustices of the fossil fuel industry. Having lived on a farm until she was 12, Kat already understood the potential for devastation that so many face from climate change after severe drought forced their family to move elsewhere and start anew. Since 2013, Kat has spent many a day banner painting, petitioning, chasing politicians, and calling volunteers, and after her most recent position of QLD Schools Coordinator, has taken on the challenge of QLD Sate Coordinator and couldn't be more honoured or happy!
