First School to take the Repower Our Schools Pledge!

It's been a big couple of months since we launched the Repower our Schools campaign.

You’ve helped us deliver 3 huge sustainability summits bringing together a diverse range of high school students in Melbourne, Perth and the Latrobe Valley to lead Repower campaigns. So far our in-school climate justice workshops have reached over 2,500 students across Australia, and right now students from 70 schools are leading campaigns to repower their school with clean, renewable energy. Know any students who want to join the movement to repower their schools? They can start a campaign online today.

Excitingly, the first school in Australia has adopted the Repower pledge just the other week - Melbourne Girls College signed the pledge with their Principal committing to a sustainability action plan including a goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2020. Melbourne Girls College students even made 7 News – check out their story here!

We are excited to work with student leaders across the country to adopt the Repower pledge in Term 4 and build momentum for an Australia powered by 100% renewables! With your help we are looking to get another 15 schools to take the pledge before the end of the year.
