Brisbane Climate Doorknock
The election has been called!
It's time now to make sure that strong climate action is on the agenda of the two major parties, particularly in the areas where the margin between the two parties is smallest and the candidates are listening to their constituents the most.
For us, that means the inner-city seat of Brisbane.
Can you join us for a day of door-knocking fun to reach as many of the Brisbane residents as possible and talk to them about the Reef, strong climate action and how they'll vote this election?
WHEN: Saturday 21st May, 1-6pm
WHERE: Wilston Presbyterian Church Auditorium, 28 MacGregor St Wilston, Brisbane 4051
WHY: The Brisbane electorate is a really important electorate for this campaign because it's a close race between the major parties and if we can show that people care about climate, we can force a race to the top on climate policy.
WHAT: An hour of training and then 2 hours or so of chatting to local residents with a buddy, followed by a debrief and a BBQ
WHO: You! And any friends who you might want to bring along for the day.
There's never been a more important time to hold our politicians to account and force a race to the top on climate policy than now. Our politicians need to hear that their electorates care and want action.
Can you join us to speak to Brisbane residents and fight for strong climate action this election?
