    South Australian Training Camp

    Big things are happening in the world at the moment- we're starting to see the very real impacts of climate change and yet our leaders are still stalling or going backwards on taking action. 

    Over the next few months, we need to work hard to run a campaign during the SA State Election showing that South Australians love renewable energy! 

    Come along to our State Summit to learn the skills we need to solve the climate crisis and achieve 100% renewable energy! This training summit is perfect for new volunteers to get skilled up and inducted into AYCC in time for our summer renewables campaign. We'll also have more advanced workshops for volunteers who have been around for a while. 

    What you'll learn:
    • Social change skills
    • Social movement theory
    • Communicating climate change
    • Motivating others to take action
    • Community leadership
    • Event organisation
    • Climate science
    • Organising young people 
    • Climate justice

    We'll have two streams, catering for people who are new and people who've been around a little longer. 

    Any young person who wants to learn the skills to solve the climate crisis. There's something for everyone - established volunteers, people new to AYCC & friends are very welcome!

    25 November 9:00am-5:00pm (+dinner together Sat night) &
    26 November 9:00-15:00pm 

    The venue is very accessible by public transport & we car-pooling can be organised
