Calling all Sydneysiders: Test Your Next MP
This Friday, you’ve got your best chance to Test your next MP on the issues that matter most to you. The AYCC and Killara High School are hosting the major independent, public Candidates Forum of the Bradfield campaign – and you’re invited!
Come along and ask Bradfield by-election candidates all your burning questions about their plans to solve climate change, and on all the other issues that matter to you and will decide your vote. You’re welcome to come whether you can vote or not – it’s your best chance to grill Australia’s next MP, and it’s open to anyone from the public.
When: 6-8PM, this Friday 20 November
Where: Kerrabee Hall, Killara High School. Koola Ave, East Killara. Map: http://bit.ly/zyynq.
Who: 7 Bradfield candidates have already confirmed their attendance, and more are on the way!
Why: This is the last national election in the entire developed world before the UN meets in Copenhagen to hammer out a global deal on climate change. Every political party adviser is watching the results very closely to gauge the Australian mood on climate change and other major issues – so let’s make this a climate election! Come along and ask your burning questions.
The evening will also feature the release of the Tomorrow Test, the AYCC’s independent guide to the climate policies of candidates in Bradfield. This guide will be compare the candidates on their targets, international plans, support for clean energy and more – and if you’re keen to help get the message out about the Test, please come along to the Forum too.
We look forward to seeing you there. You can get more details and RSVP on facebook here.
